October 19, 2006The 12 Sites of ChristmasIt's getting close to that time of year (at least it is according to Costco, Best Buy, Target, and most of the stores in our local shopping malls). So why not get into that holiday mood with all the other shoppers, and see what kind of Warped holiday site we can find this early. The name of the site is The 12 Sites of Christmas, 2003. In terms of the Internet, this would be a golden oldie. But it still works. This is a site sponsored by Netsurfer Digest , one of the oldest e-zines of the web. It looks at the familiar Christmas song, the 12 days of Christmas, but attaches links to all of the important parts of the song. For example, with the 12 drummers drumming, clicking on drummers takes you to a site that is a registry of drummers. Clicking on drumming takes you to a site about learning how to drum. The gold in five golden rings takes you to a website on Chinese alchemy, and the partridge in the pear tree takes you a fan site of the famous rock group, The Partridge Family. Kind of a cool site, and a great warped idea. The Warp-o-Meter gives it rating of 8.5, so it's getting into the holiday spirit with the rest of us.
