KLOV

If you think that by looking at today's Warped site title that we're visiting the broadcast industry, you're wrong. It is the title of a website that is, or can be, one that is near and dear to every computer gamer's heart. So click on and you'll get the picture.

The site is named KLOV, which is an anacronym for Killer List Of Videogames. This is a massive website with information about literally thousands of games, and other interesting bits of information. The Killer List of Videogames, the video-game department of The International Arcade Museum, has provided the Internet's largest database of coin-operated video-games since the earliest days of the Internet. The International Arcade Museum is the world's largest museum of the art, inventions, and history of the amusement and coin-operated machine industries.

There are currently 4,354 machines online that you can browse. Everything from the first official video game (Pong, from Atari in 1972), to old favorites such as Boot Hill (Midway Games, 1976) and Space Invaders (Bally Midway, 1977). There are more games here than I ever imagined. (I guess I should spend more time in the neighborhood 7-11's). You can also participate in the forum section, talking with others who have similar interests. There are cheat sheets, as well as information about the newest games (Pirates of the Carribbean, released on July 17, 2006.

The video game industry has grown in leaps and bounds in the past 30 years. Have you ever wondered where'd we be without them. The Warped site rating for KLOV is 8.0.
