Airtoons

Have ever traveled on an airplane? If so you have listened to the pre-flight safety talk by the attendants, making sure you know where the exits are and how to make your seat cushion into a floatation device. They also ask you to read the little blurb in the seat in front of you for more information on your aircraft. You know, the one with the pictures and international symbols on it. Well, with that thought in mind, we move on to today's Warped site, one that features some pictures that we would like to see on those pamphlets.

The site is called Airtoons. This is a site that parodies those drawings from those airplane safety cards. During the author's college days he was on a flight when he noticed that the safety instructions in front of him had no captions. He thought to himself, "why is that guy's life jacket dispensing red licorice?!" So he decided to add some captions to the emergency evacuation instruction placards that everyone who flies the friendly skies is familiar with. The rest, so to say, is history. He has also added some additional Governmental information on what to do in case of a nuclear attack. Shades of duck and cover drills!

These cartoon are funny to read, especially if you are a frequent flyer or victim of a nuclear attack. The Warp-o-Meter gives this site an 8.5 rating, because it is a pretty warped subject, and he does spend a lot of time on planes.
