Playthings Past

A friend of mine who is living in Hungary sent me the subject of today's Warped site. It is one that will bring back a lot of memories for the baby boomers who are reading this now. Not only is this a terrific retro site, is one that lets you relive those memories, sort of.

The site is called Plaything Past. This is an online shopping site that features toys, games and dolls from our childhood. It gives one a chance to relive the past, and to share it with our children or grandchildren. Where else can you by a Radio Flyer Red Wagon, a Duncan Yo-Yo Lunch Box, or a Care Bear. You can at this site. Gumby, Mr. Potato Heard, and Slinkies can be found here as well. Just about anything you can think of will be here, and at a very reasonable price. The site has been in operation for over 8 years, which speaks to the quality of the product and the service they provide.

So if you are looking for a present that goes beyond computers and video games, ones that actually are fun to play, this is a site to visit. The Warp-o-Meter gives this site a 6.5 rating.
