Jesus Sports Statues

There was a song several years ago that asked the question if Jesus came back today, would He be wearing a Rolex. It was a satirical song, one that poked fun at the PTL ministry that was imploding at the time. But it does raise an interesting question. What would Jesus be doing if He came back today. How would He adapt to the world today (and more important, how would the world adapt to Him)? That is an interesting concept, one that is sure to make for a lot of discussion. Today we look at a site that has somewhat answered that question.

The site is Jesus Sports Statues, and is a site that features religious gifts for all occasions. What caught my eye was the inclusion of statues with Jesus. What were they? Was Jesus dressed down and throwing the football, or hitting the home run? If you look at them, you see that He is doing what He has always done, help us to succeed in life. The over riding message is that "Jesus is My Coach". You see Him helping batters, soccer players, basketball players, and other sports improving on their skills.

That is what I feel Jesus would be doing today, helping us to live our lives to the fullest and to the best of our abilities. Somehow I don't see Him coaching soccer or umpiring softball games, but who knows how He would impact our lives. The rating on this site is 6.5.
