Batteries Included

If you ask anyone to name a brand of batteries, the majority would most likely think of Energizer. Why? It is a sure bet that their advertising campaign that has gone on for years, the one that features the Energizer Bunny, has become a part of our culture. But there are more batteries out there, and many different makers. How many? Well, just click on, dear viewer, and you'll see.

The name of the site is Batteries Included. (That is a saying that most parents aren't used to hearing when buying a toy or product for their children.) This site is a gallery of batteries - those strange, off-brand batteries that are included when you buy remote controls, toys, and other consumer electronics. I was surprised at just how many different types of cells were available, and the size and shapes they came in. But seeing is believing. There are 9volt, AA, AAA, National NEO, Rocket, Supergard, Bulletline, the list goes on. And each one has a picture to show that it really, really is real.

So the next time you get a new electronic gizmo, check out the batteries that are included. If it is a different type, snap a picture of it and send it along to this site. They do accept user submitted photos, so feel free to share. The Warp-o-Meter gives this site a 6.5 rating, but I think it needs to have it's batteries changed. Stay tuned and see if his rating goes up.
