Abandoned Sites

As the space race in the past century grew, so did the amount of satellites that are orbiting the earth. But after awhile they ended their mission but they stayed up. In effect they were abandoned and became junk. You can draw the same analogy with the Internet. There are hundreds of sites that are created everyday, but for various reasons are soon abandoned, without anyone updating them. In a sense they are Internet junk. Today's Warped site takes a look at some of them.

The name of the site is Abandoned Sites, and as the name implies it is a repository for Internet sites that are on hiatus, or dormant, or just plain forgotten about. Some of them are pretty interesting, showing a lot of promise, such as the Shakespeare Literature review (which, incidentally, has nothing to do with Shakespeare). The FBI On-line site is interesting as well.

There is so much to see and do on the information super highway that you just don't have time to see and do everything. Sites like this help to ease some of the confusion. The Warp-o-Meter gives this site a 6.5 rating.
